Summary
The Oakville Middle/High School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Basketball Coach for the girls' team for the 2025/2026 school season. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for coaching, a strong understanding of basketball fundamentals, and the ability to inspire and motivate student-athletes. This role is critical in fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development while promoting a positive and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program that enhances individual and team skills.
- Organize and conduct daily practices and team meetings to improve performance and cohesion.
- Plan and manage game strategies, including in-game adjustments and player rotations.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, discipline, and hard work.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team expectations and progress.
- Monitor and support the academic and personal development of student-athletes.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to promote the overall athletic program at Oakville Middle/High School.
- Ensure compliance with all school and league policies, rules, and regulations.
- Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback to facilitate growth.
- Organize and oversee team events, including fundraising, community service, and team bonding activities.

Requirements
- Previous coaching experience, preferably at the middle or high school level.
- Strong knowledge of basketball strategies, techniques, and rules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
- Must pass a background check as required by the school district.
- A commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes.
- Availability for evening and weekend practices and games during the season.
